Can I remotely force a device to connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform?
No, you cannot remotely force a device to wake up and connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform.
A device normally wakes up on a scheduled and predictable wake-up interval ranging from 1 hour up to 24 hours.
However, the device can wake up and transmit data outside of these scheduled wake-up intervals, if triggered by one of the following:
Pressing the start or stop button will wake up the device and the device will attempt to connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform.
Note
Pressing a button will not wake up the device if less than 30 minutes have passed since the button was last pressed.
When a device is plugged in to charge, fully charged, or removed from charging, it will wake up and attempt to connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform.
When a device exits Flight Mode, it will attempt to wake up and connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform if in a shipment.
When a device is in an active shipment, it will attempt to wake up and connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform if a temperature excursion occurs.
