How frequently is the device location transmitted?

In this section:

The device transmits its current geolocation whenever it wakes up and connects to the Controlant Cloud Platform. The frequency depends on the wake-up interval configured for the shipment:

  • 1 hour

  • 2 hours

  • 3 hours

  • 6 hours

  • 12 hour

  • 24 hours

Note

Device will always wake up and attempt to connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform in the following cases:

  • A shipment alarm is triggered by a temperature excursion

  • A button is pressed

This means that if the device does not connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform for a period, it will not gather any data about its location during that period.

Possible reasons device does not connect when expected:

  • Device is in Low Power Mode or Hibernation Mode

  • Device is in limited operating temperature range: Below -20°C.

  • Device has poor signal strength

  • Device is in Flight Mode
