How frequently is the device location transmitted?
The device transmits its current geolocation whenever it wakes up and connects to the Controlant Cloud Platform. The frequency depends on the wake-up interval configured for the shipment:
1 hour
2 hours
3 hours
6 hours
12 hour
24 hours
Note
Device will always wake up and attempt to connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform in the following cases:
A shipment alarm is triggered by a temperature excursion
A button is pressed
This means that if the device does not connect to the Controlant Cloud Platform for a period, it will not gather any data about its location during that period.
Possible reasons device does not connect when expected:
Device is in Low Power Mode or Hibernation Mode
Device is in limited operating temperature range: Below -20°C.
Device has poor signal strength
Device is in Flight Mode
