The Saga device is built for current 4G-based cellular infrastructure, with fallback to 3G and 2G when necessary. Therefore, it is suitable for areas where 2G and 3G networks are already or will be phased out. Rather than using less accurate cellular positioning only, the logger uses Wi-Fi networks to increase location accuracy, with cellular positioning as a fallback.
Location accuracy using cellular positioning is expected to range between 600 meters to a few kilometers. Location accuracy using Wi-Fi positioning, where available, is expected to be within a 150-meter radius.
