The 2.29.0 release focuses on improvements to access management, including the ability to log in via Single sign-on (SSO). The release also allows users to see carrier milestone events in SCM for shipments that have a tracking number. Additionally there are a number of UI improvements to help users better navigate SCM.
Planned new features
We are making it easier for users to log in. A new button has been added to the login screens for both SCM and Account Admin, allowing users to log in using single sign-on (SSO).
For customers that have integrated their Identity Provider (IdP), users that have been authorized to use SCM in the IdP will be able to log in with SSO and will be redirected to the login page for their respective IdP to log in.
A new Brand Style Guide has been implemented at Controlant, and we will be taking incremental steps to redesign all our apps to match the new style.
In release 2.29.0, the User Management tab in Account Admin has been updated to reflect the new style. New functionality has also been added to improve the user experience.
Customers that have bought Carrier Milestones through AuroraTrack can track shipments with logistics partners in the SCM UI. To do this you need to add the dedicated tracking number of the shipment during creation.
When viewing a shipment you can go to the Carrier Milestones tab and see all the carrier events in one tab.
Currently only Admin users can duplicate shipments. With release 2.29.0 any user with permission to create and view a shipment will have permission to duplicate that shipment in the SCM.
You can now configure the SCM to automatically delete shipments that are left in draft status for an extended period.
In Account Admin you will find the option to automatically delete draft shipments that have not been modified for a configurable number of days. The feature is turned off by default, but can be configured to delete draft shipments that have not been modified for 30, 60 or 90 days.
We’re introducing a new feature where users can get notified about data availability issues via email as soon as an issue is detected.
You can configure this in Account Admin:
When the feature is enabled, an email will be sent to:
email addresses directly subscribed to the shipment
lane subscribers

We are introducing a warning in the Products tab that alerts you when a shipment with a Product attached to it has data availability issues.
