Admin panel
Admin users use the Admin panel to access user rights and project management tools. To access the Admin Panel, click the wrench icon in the header.
The Admin panel is where admin users can manage projects, users, and templates.
Project management
In the Projects view, admin users can create a new project, modify an existing project, disable projects, reactivate disabled projects, and change project user permissions.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Projects to enter the Projects view.
Click the Create a new project button to see the Create Project view.
In the Create project view, it is mandatory to give the project a name (Project name) and optional to add a Project reference and Description. Admin users can grant themselves access to the project by ticking the box below the form.
Click the Create Project button to finish creating the project.
The new project appears in the list of Active Projects.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Projects to enter the Projects view.
Find the project you want to modify in the Active Projects list.
Click the Pencil icon on the right of the designated project.
Change the parameters you'd like, and click the Save button to confirm the changes.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Projects to enter the Projects view.
Find the project you want to change user permissions for in the Active Projects list.
Click the User permissions icon on the right of the designated project.
In the User permissions view, move users between the "Users with no access" and "Permitted users" boxes using arrows to manage project access.
Click the User permissions button to close the window.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Projects to enter the Projects view.
Find the project you want to deactivate in the Active Projects list.
Click the Disable icon on the right of the designated project.
The deactivated project is now in the Disabled Projects list.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Projects to enter the Projects view.
Find the project you want to reactivate in the Disabled Projects list.
Click the Enable icon on the right of the designated project.
The disabled project is now reactivated and listed in the Active Projects list.
User management
In the Users view, Admin users can create a new user, modify an existing user, and reset passwords for users. A user can be disabled and activated by an Admin user.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Users to enter the Users view.
Click the Create a New User button.
Fill in the Username, First name, Last name, email, and Access level. Then, click the Create button.
Click the Create Project button to finish creating the project.
The new user is now visible in the relevant list.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Users to enter the Users view.
Find the user you want to modify.
Make the desired changes and click the Save button.
The user rights have now been modified.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Users to enter the Users view.
Select the user and click the Key icon next to the user to reset the password.
Click the Reset Password button.
An email with a link is sent to the user. They must follow the link to reset their password.
The password change is confirmed on the Success! page, and the new password takes effect immediately.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Users to enter the Users view.
Find the user you want to deactivate and click the Pencil icon next to the user.
Change the Status for the user from Active to Disabled.
The user is now grayed out in the Users view.
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select Users to enter the Users view.
Find the user you want to activate and click the Pencil icon next to the user.
Change the Status from Disabled to Active.
The new user is now visible in the relevant list.
Template management
In the Admin panel, Admin users can create a new template and modify or delete an existing template.
Templates can make the shipment creation process faster and easier. They can be created globally or within projects.
These are the following templates available to the Admin users:
Shipment templates
Shipment templates are helpful when creating whole shipments that include contacts and warnings.
Shipment Contacts templates
Admin users can create shipment contacts templates, which allow them to create a template of users for shipments.
Shipment Warning templates
The warning templates enable Admin users to set upper and lower boundaries for shipment warnings.
Integration loggers templates
The integration logger template is created by Integration API and visible in the SCM user interface (UI). They can only be used when creating shipments via integration and not when manually creating shipments in the SCM UI. The template is displayed in the SCM UI for maintenance and validation purposes only.
Create a template
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select the template type you want to create from the menu and click the Create Template button.
Fill in the required details and click the Create button.
To see the new template, select the respective project from the drop-down menu within the template type you're looking for. If the template is global, it shows up in the view automatically.
Modify a template
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select the desired template type.
Choose the project from the drop-down menu to see templates related to specific projects. Global templates show up in the view automatically.
Select the template you want to modify and click the Pencil icon.
Make the necessary changes and click the Save button.
Delete a template
Click the wrench icon in the header to enter the Admin panel.
Select the desired template type.
Choose the project from the drop-down menu to see templates related to specific projects. Global templates show up in the view automatically.
Select the template you want to delete and click the bin icon.
Confirm the deletion by clicking the OK button in the pop-up window.
