You can use the Devices overview page to:

You can use the devices list to view information about devices.

Note

You can apply filters to control what you see in the devices list. See Filter devices.

Item

Description

ID

Unique identifier of device.

Description

Name of the device. Includes:

  • Saga

  • Saga-P

  • CID Test

  • More? Saga Card?

Customer

Name of customer account to which the device is registered.

Last Wakeup

Amount of time that has passed since the device last woke up.

Firmware Version

Version name and number of firmware that is running on the device.

Note

FM_warning-triangle indicates that the device is scheduled to receive a firmware update next time the device wakes up. Hover over the triangle to see which firmware version will be installed.

Operational Status

Associated operating status of device:

Active flags

Flags that are active on the device:

Account Admin -­ Company Control Panel - User Management - User actions

Click to see available actions:

  • View Details - opens the Device detail page for this device. See Device detail page.

  • View Analytics- opens the Analytics page for this device. See Analytics page.



You can use filters to control which devices you see in the Devices list. See Devices list.

Note

The number in the corner of the Filters button indicates the number of filters applied to the list.

If you want to filter for a single device, do the following:

  • In the Filter by device ID box, type or paste the device ID.

    You can filter for a single device by typing or pasting the device ID here

    The devices list appears, showing the device.

    Note

    Take care to type the device id correctly or the filter will return no results.

To see the Filters dialog, click Filters.

The Filters dialog appears:

  1. If you want to filter by customers, for each customer, in the Customer drop-down, start typing a customer's name to filter the list, or scroll down and click to select one or more customer names.

    You can filter devices by customer names or IDs
  2. If you want to filter by firmware versions, for each firmware version, in the Firmware Version drop-down, start typing the name of the firmware release to filter the list, or scroll down and click to select one or more firmware versions.

  3. If you want to filter by operational statuses, for each operational status, in the Operational Status drop-down, click to select one or more operational statuses:

    You can filter devices by operational status: Active, In stock, Being serviced, or Deactivated
  4. If you want to filter by import IDs, in the Multiple IDs area, click to select Import IDs, and then do one of the following:

    1. If you want to filter by scan ID, click Scan and then in the ID box, enter the scan ID.

    2. If you want to filter by box ID, click Box and then in the ID box, enter the box ID.

    3. If you want to filter by sales order ID, click Sales Order ID and then in the ID box, enter the sales order ID.

    4. If you want to filter by tracking ID, click Tracking and then in the ID box, enter the tracking ID.

  5. If you want to filter by device IDs, in the Multiple IDs area, do one ofthe following:

    1. To type or paste a list of device IDs, do the following:

      1. Click to select Add Device IDs.

      2. In the Device IDs box, type or paste a list of device IDs, separating multiple items with a comma.

    2. To import a comma separated file with a list of device IDs, do the following:

      1. Click to select CSV File.

      2. Upload the comma separated file by dragging and dropping it in the designated area, or click browse and locate the file on your machine.

        Note

        The file should contain a maximum of 100.000 device IDs.

  6. If you want to filter for devices that are not Saga devices, in the Miscellaneous area, click to deselect Only show Saga devices.

  7. Click Apply Filters.

    The Devices page appears, with the list filtered as you requested.

  1. To see the Filters dialog, click Filters.

  2. If you want to clear all filters, click Reset Filters.

  3. If you want to clear some filters, for each filter you want to clear, clear the filter.

  4. click Apply Filters.

    The Devices page appears, with the list filtered as you requested.

Item

Description

GENERAL

Device ID

Unique identifier of device.

Internal Temp.

Latest temperature measurement in internal thermometer of device.

Battery Status

Battery status of device.

Last Wakeup

Last wake-up of device.

Modem IMEI

Unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of modem on device.

SIM ICCID

Unique Integrated Circuit Card IDentification (ICCID) number of SIM card on device.

SIM Status

Status of the SIM card:

  • Live

  • Standby

  • Suspend

SIM Profile

Service provider of SIM card.

ACTIVE FLAGS

For each active flag, you will see the following:

Flag

Flag that is active

Date

Date change was made, in ​D MMM YYYY, HH:MM format.

User

User name of user that made the change.

Tip

Point to the user name to see a pop-up with the following details about the user:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • User ID

Comment

Comment associated with the change.

Tip

Can e.g. be used for Jira ticket number of associated ticket. The ticket number will be a clickable link to the issue in Jira.

Click to view details about the device in Device detail page.



You can perform the following actions on devices.

You can add flags to one or more device.

  1. To select the device or device you want to add a flag to, do one of the following:

    1. If you want to perform an action on multiple devices, in the Devices overview page, click to select the devices you want to perform the action on.

    2. If you want to perform an action on a single device, do one of the following:

      1. In the Devices overview page, click to select the device you want to perform the action on.

      2. Open the device in the Device Detail page.

  2. To add flags to the selected devices, click Actions and then click FM_icon_pluscircle.svg Add Flags.

    The Add Flags dialog appears.

  3. To select which flags to add, select one or more flags from the drop-down menu or search for a flag by typing in part of the flag's name.

  4. If you want to add a comment, in the Comment box, type your comment.

  5. If you are adding flags that will deactivate a device, a warning text appears:

    Warning

    Devices Are Being Deactivated!

    The selected devices will be deactivated upon applying the following flag - [name of flag].

    SIM Will Be Disabled!

    The SIM for selected devices will be disabled upon applying the following flag - [name of flag].

  6. To verify you understand the consequences and want to add the flag, click the I understand the potential consequences of this action checkbox.

  7. Click Add Flags.

    The flags are added to the selected device.

You can remove flags from one or more device.

  1. To select the device or device you want to add a flag to, do one of the following:

    1. If you want to perform an action on multiple devices, in the Devices overview page, click to select the devices you want to perform the action on.

    2. If you want to perform an action on a single device, do one of the following:

      1. In the Devices overview page, click to select the device you want to perform the action on.

      2. Open the device in the Device Detail page.

  2. To remove flags from the selected devices, click Actions and then click FM_icon_pluscircle.svg Remove Flags.

    The Remove Flags dialog appears.

  3. To select which flags to remove, select one or more flags from the drop-down menu or search for a flag by typing in part of the flag's name.

  4. If you want to add a comment, in the Comment box, type your comment.

  5. Click Remove Flags.

    The flags are removed from the selected device.

Note

Removed flags show up in the Flag History area in the Device Detail page. See Flag history.

You can change the wake-up interval of one or more devices.

Note

Performing this action requires special permission. You may not be able to change the wake-up interval of devices.

I don't have permission to do this, so I can't see this and take screenshots/ write about it.

  1. To select the device or device you want to add a flag to, do one of the following:

    1. If you want to perform an action on multiple devices, in the Devices overview page, click to select the devices you want to perform the action on.

    2. If you want to perform an action on a single device, do one of the following:

      1. In the Devices overview page, click to select the device you want to perform the action on.

      2. Open the device in the Device Detail page.

  2. To change the wake-up interval for the selected devices, click Actions and then click Change wake-up interval.

    The Change wake-up interval dialog appears.
