This feature allows users to create and register various service events by scanning or entering the device ID. The registered service events show up in Event history.

Register a service event

You can register only one service event at a time, but you can register the same service event for multiple devices during the same session.

Event types

By default, you can register the following service event types in Fleet Manager. Some users are also able to create event types.

Submit the part number of the new battery.

Submit the part number of the new probe.

Registering an event

  1. Click Register event on the navigation panel.

  2. Select an event to register and click Start session.

    1. Check the header to confirm that you have selected the correct event.

    2. By clicking one of the radio buttons, you can choose whether or not you want to register the part number of the replacement part along with the event.

      1. Click Yes to enable the input box for the part number to show up while registering the event.

      2. Click No to register the event only without adding information about the part number.

    3. Click Yes to proceed or No to go back to the register event overview page.

  3. Scan or type the device ID.

  4. If you enabled the input box for the part number in step 3, scan or scan or type the part number of the replacement part.

  5. Click Register or press Enter to finalize.

Event history

Look up a device's service event history

  1. Click Service Events/Event History in the menu bar.

  2. Type or scan a device ID into the search box. Notice how the page title changes to Event History - "Device ID".

Tip

Each logged service event of the device is displayed in its own row, with a timestamp and the username (if available).
